Late afternoon the brilliant musicians left.
More was to come- a professional well known bhajan singer with his party had come and this was another highlight event. Unfortunately I do not have video of this. I guess I was too busy dancing. Eventually I slipped off to bed on the roof.

The next day most guests left and Karnav added up his “earnings”. It was quite a good sum (30,000 rs.) plus other gifts (clothes mostly) and a crisp 100$ note from yours truly.
Later we went to Triveni ghat to throw puja stuff and whatall into the river.
Although Karnav had promised me all his earnings if I swam across the river (it is India on the other side!) the current was too strong.- In just a few days was the same thread ceremony for 4 of Karnav’s cousins in Anga Khola, Deepaks’s native place in the hills. Instead of sitting around for a few days with nothing to do i decided to take a couple of buses to Pokhara and get my bicycle ready for my Nepal to Goa trip.
